Relatively new to the world of statuary is the art of
casting statues with marble powder resin casting , a
very durable synthetic polymer. Marble powder resin
casting statues are able to retain all of the detail . They
weigh less than cast-stone statues and, therefore, cost
less to ship. They have a greater strength than some
of the other materials that can be cast. Moreover,
resin statues are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
The final look of the product is exactly that of marble
stone, looks like a monolithic stone but the shade in
each figure is not the same , it can be a little lighter
and a little darker, depending on the shade of the
marble powder we use. Remember that there are no
identical stones in nature.
There is also a considerable amount of flexibility
in regards to the finishing options for cast resin
sculptures. In fact resin statues can be created to
mimic the look of ancient stone, marble, bronze, or
porcelain sculptures. Hand-painted poly-chrome
finishes can be achieved. By default, the color of
our products is white pure marble, but you can ask
for a different color.
It is important to note that while resin statues and
sculptures do well in rain and can handle temperatures
above freezing, they are not as resistant to harsh
winter conditions. The expansion and contraction of
ice in crevices may crack the piece and it is, therefore,
recommended that the sculpture be brought inside
when freezing temperatures could threaten it. To
care for the appearance of the sculpture, it is enough
to use a soft rag and soapy water. The lifespan
of a resin sculpture with marble powder is longer
than natural marble.
